Gothic style with the tallest spire in Inverness, designed by the architect of the Episcopal cathedral, Alexander Ross. North Church congregation split from East Church (Church of Scotland) and joined the Free Church of Scotland at the 1843 Disruption. Interior, which can seat 1300 recently restored with stencil work on barrel ceiling. As usual in Free Church of Scotland, no organ, but box below the pulpit for the Precentor who leads the singing.
